Petunia worked in hospitals and various practices in Country Victoria and Melbourne before setting up her own dental surgery, Healthy Smiles @ Mt Eliza in Mount Eliza in 2012. This has given her a wealth of experience, lasting friendships and an appreciation of community engagement. Petunia has been published in the media for her efforts in bringing down the waiting list at Portland Hospital during her time there. Earning patient trust through effective communication, patient care, and comfort is at the forefront of Petunia’s approach.

She believes that by restoring and maintaining excellent oral health people can improve their overall wellbeing and self-confidence.

Petunia regularly attends continuing education seminars, meetings, study groups and hands on workshops to stay abreast of the latest techniques on offer, which she can then confidently provide to her patients. She uses only the highest quality dental material and the wide range of equipment in the practice is state of the art, providing the best possible treatment for her patients. Her commitment to clinical excellence is reflected in all aspects of dental service from simple procedures to the more complicated.

Over her 30 years as a dental practitioner, Petunia has performed thousands of dental procedures involving many aspects of cosmetic, restorative and general dentistry. Her chair side manner is professional and efficient, but with a good measure of friendliness, gentleness and compassion. Her goal is to provide her patients with the best care and attention, to encourage them to take their oral health seriously and enable them to make informed choices.
